Lawrence studied Law with a year abroad at the University of Sheffield, where he achieved an upper second class honours. During his degree, he studied the patentability of Graphic User Interfaces, copyright issues relating to code and the EU Case Law on the right to be forgotten.
During his year abroad at the University of Ferrara he participated in an annual International Tax Law conference in Rovigo Italy. He conducted a presentation on Diverted Profit Tax (more commonly known as the ‘Google Tax’) and its relationship with EU law. Afterwards he wrote a thesis on the topic. The complexities of the tax reaffirmed to him to pursue a career in Corporate and Commercial Law.
Lawrence is currently studying the Legal Practice Course at BPP Cambridge.
In his spare time, he has always enjoyed combat sports and has significant experience in the grappling art of No-GI Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has recently began Muay Thai. Other interests include chess and reading.
